As a form of concern for the environment, the Ajinomoto Indonesia Group through the Ajinomoto Health Provider initiative is committed to continuing to innovate through its products and businesses, one of which is by reducing the use of plastic materials in packaging and collaborating with recycling services to actively sort waste.

Our initiative was also warmly welcomed by the Indonesian Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK). In line with Law No. 18/2008 concerning Waste Management, PT Ajinomoto Indonesia is one of the companies that received Appreciation for the Implementation of the 2024 Waste Reduction Roadmap.

This award is an incentive scheme for producers through the provision of appreciation and publication of good performance that has shown commitment and compliance in implementing the waste reduction roadmap as regulated in Permen LHK P.75/2019.

According to Rosa Vivien Rahmawati, Director General of PSLB3, Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) of the Republic of Indonesia, her party invites all parties to jointly manage waste properly, by placing waste reduction as important as waste management. Then, minimal waste behavior as a new culture of Indonesian society, circular economy, and environmentally friendly technology as a manifestation of the principle of waste to resource and environmentally friendly TPA.

"This award is a form of appreciation from the Minister of LHK to 18 manufacturers and 2 retailers. I hope that next year we can also give appreciation to food business services such as hotels, restaurants, cafes and so on," said Rosa Vivien Rahmawati, Director General of PSLB3, KLHK.
