Ajinomoto Collaborates with BAZNAS to Help Sukabumi Flood and Landslide Victims

Sukabumi, January 2025 - Ajinomoto Indonesia Group (Ajinomoto) collaborates with the National Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) in providing assistance to victims of floods and landslides in Sukabumi, West Java. The assistance provided is in the form of Masako®, SAORI® products, and donations of funds for the purchase of medicines, the opening of health and psychosocial examination facilities, and the construction of public facilities that were destroyed due to the impact of the floods and landslides. The assistance was handed over by Jihad Dwidyasa (Corporate Communications Manager - PT AJINOMOTO INDONESIA) & Agus Herdiana (Regional Sales Manager - PT AJINOMOTO SALES INDONESIA), and received by representatives of BAZNAS Disaster Response (BTB) at the location, to then be distributed to the community affected by the floods and landslides in Sukabumi. The handover of this humanitarian assistance was also witnessed by Mr. Hasim as the head of the disaster management team in Cikadu Village, Sukabumi. Separately, the Head of BAZNAS RI for Distribution and Utilization, Saidah Sakwan, MA., expressed his appreciation and gratitude to Ajinomoto for entrusting the distribution of humanitarian aid through BAZNAS RI. "We would like to thank Ajinomoto for the humanitarian support provided to the victims of the flood and landslide disaster. We hope that the assistance provided can be a blessing, both for the affected communities and Ajinomoto," said Saidah, in Sukabumi, West Java, Tuesday (12/31/2024).



 

Saidah hopes that this assistance can be a good example for many parties, so that more and more people will help the affected residents. Because, according to her, currently many parties need a helping hand to revive disaster survivors in various aspects, both from the economy, health, and education. "Hopefully Ajinomoto's good intentions will be a positive example of mutual assistance and mutual cooperation between each other," she said.



 

Meanwhile, Grant Senjaya as Head of Corporate Communications of PT AJINOMOTO INDONESIA expressed his deep condolences for this disaster, "Facing natural disasters is certainly not easy, especially since this disaster comes together with other natural disasters such as landslides. For that, our representatives came and met with the affected victims to provide assistance as a form of our concern," he said. Grant expressed his hope that this humanitarian assistance provided could support the recovery process of the affected victims and also increase motivation so that they could get back on their feet and carry out their daily routines with enthusiasm.
