This educational program is a follow-up to the Agreement or MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) signed by the Regent of Mojokerto, dr. Ikfina Fahmawati M.Si, together with the Director of Ajinomoto, Samsul Bakhri, which already held in October 2023.

Ajinomoto hopes that the Health Provider initiative which is carried out on an ongoing basis this time can also be implemented independently in the daily lives of the wider community, especially in Mojokerto Regency so that it can help improve the health of the people of Mojokerto. Previously, Ajinomoto had also conducted training and donated equipment (chicken noodle carts) for the development of Culinary MSMEs in Mlirip Village, District. Jetis, Kab. Mojokerto, in collaboration with the District Industry & Trade Service (Disperindag). Mojokerto.
On this occasion, Dominikus Raditya Atmaka, S.Gz., MPH, Lecturer in Nutrition at the Faculty of Public Health - Airlangga University, provided education to midwives, posyandu cadres, and PKK members from Puri District, Mojokerto, regarding stunting prevention and management using the concept balanced nutrition. According to him, stunting can result in children failing to grow optimally due to chronic nutritional deficiencies, especially in the first 1,000 days of life, and this is of particular concern to the Indonesian Ministry of Health (Kemenkes).
“Actually, preventing stunting should be done in the early stages of pregnancy. Mothers are advised to start adopting a diet with balanced nutrition and a healthy lifestyle as early as possible. "Then, for babies aged 6 to 9 months, prioritize always getting exclusive breast milk, then start a varied MPASI menu consisting of carbohydrates, animal protein, vegetables and vegetables," said Dominikus.
"So the next question is, what if the child is already stunted? How is it handled? For this case, children need to be given a food menu intervention that is more vary and high in nutritional elements, and the frequency of implementation also needs to be regulated. For example, babies aged 6 - 8 months need 2 - 3 main foods and 1 - 2 snacks. Then, when making MPASI, mothers don't need to worry about adding spices. "Because the use of sugar, salt and umami seasoning like MSG is permitted in moderation," he continued.
Regent of Mojokerto, dr. Ikfina Fahmawati believes that the program collaborating with Ajinomoto will have a direct impact on the wider community, especially in Mojokerto Regency.
