Jakarta, January 25, 2025 – For many Indonesian families, serving healthy and delicious meals is often a challenge. Amidst the hustle and bustle of daily life, concerns about balanced nutrition, excessive salt consumption, and the risk of non-communicable diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, and high cholesterol are becoming increasingly apparent.
In commemoration of National Nutrition Day and in line with the company's goal of “Strengthening sustainable well-being for people, society, and the earth through AminoScience,” Ajinomoto presents the Ajinomoto Health Provider initiative to support the community through education, innovation, and technology that helps families cook more nutritious, delicious, and environmentally conscious meals.

GEMBIRA Ajinomoto Samarinda
Ajinomoto understands that efforts to build a balanced diet begin in the home kitchen, where mothers play a crucial role in determining the quality of their family’s nutritional intake. Through the GEMBIRA (Cooking Nutritiously with Ajinomoto Health Provider) program, Ajinomoto equips mothers with easy-to-understand balanced nutrition education, complete with demonstrations of everyday cooking and Bijak Garam (Wise Salt), which are tips for cooking with less salt. For example, when cooking chicken soup, instead of using 2 teaspoons of salt, mothers can use 1 teaspoon of salt + ½ teaspoon of AJI-NO-MOTO®. Since its launch in 2022, this program has reached more than 10,000 PKK and Dharma Wanita mothers in various regions in Indonesia.
Additionally, Ajinomoto also provides support for the free nutritious meals program, in collaboration with the Indonesia Food Security Review (IFSR). This collaboration began with a series of nutrition education sessions, which are an important part of the support for the Free Nutritious Meals Program initiated by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia, involving three beneficiary groups: school students, parents, and the SPPG team. Improving balanced nutrition literacy for students and parents through direct education and training in cooking skills and understanding healthy menus for the SPPG kitchen team involved, as well as providing a nutritious menu catalog so that they are able to provide practical, delicious, varied, and nutritious food on a large scale efficiently, hygienically, and serve food that suits the needs of students at school.
In line with lifestyle changes and increased use of technology, Ajinomoto Health Provider presents digital-based nutrition literacy solutions through www.dapurumami.com and the Dapur Umami app. For more than a decade, this platform has been a reference for Indonesian families in finding inspiration for delicious dishes based on balanced nutrition principles.

Aplikasi Dapur Umami
Through the Dapur Umami app, users can get recipe recommendations based on their preferences, access exclusive content, and find cooking inspiration that supports a healthy and environmentally friendly lifestyle. Dapur Umami is designed as a daily cooking companion that helps Indonesian families prepare healthy meals in a practical and enjoyable way.

Edukasi Gizi Seimbang di Dapur Umami Studio
This role is reinforced through Dapur Umami Studio, a creative space for mothers who love to cook. This facility can be used by cooking communities, PKK mothers, and MSME players. It is located at the PT Ajinomoto Indonesia Head Office in North Jakarta. Dapur Umami Studio is a place to create Umami menus that are not only delicious but also healthy. In addition, visitors have the opportunity to learn more about the company and get the latest information about MSG and Umami. Furthermore, at Dapur Umami Studio, visitors can also learn from experienced chefs about practical, nutritious, and delicious cooking methods using Ajinomoto products.

Masako® Light dan Sajiku® Tepung Bumbu Menyerap Minyak Lebih Sedikit
As a manufacturer, this commitment is realized through product innovation, such as Masako® Light, a chicken broth seasoning with 25% less salt than regular Masako® Chicken Flavor. Additionally, Ajinomoto has also launched Sajiku® Less Oil, which is intended for Indonesian consumers who enjoy fried foods without worrying about consuming too much oil.
“National Nutrition Day is a momentum for us to continue supporting Indonesian families to live healthier lives. Through Ajinomoto Health Provider, we want to ensure that the education and innovation we provide are truly relevant and applicable in people's daily lives,”
said Grant Senjaya, Head of Corporate Communications at PT Ajinomoto Indonesia.
