Jakarta, October 25, 2025 – PT Ajinomoto Indonesia emphasizes that all products officially manufactured and distributed by the Ajinomoto Group in Indonesia are HALAL certified by the Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Produk Halal (BPJPH).
Recently, several digital contents circulating on platforms such as TikTok and other social media have featured a product called Pork Savor. These contents have caused concern among the public, especially since the majority of Indonesia’s population is Muslim and places high importance on product halalness.
“We understand the concern that has arisen due to the circulation of digital content about Pork Savor. Pork Savor is a product manufactured by Ajinomoto Philippines. This product is not produced, sold, or distributed in the Indonesian market by the Ajinomoto Group Indonesia. Its presence in Indonesia is most likely the result of individual imports, such as through cross-border e-commerce or personal shopping services (jastip). We also want to firmly clarify that all endorsement or promotional content related to Pork Savor circulating on digital platforms does not originate from and is not associated with any marketing activities of the Ajinomoto Group Indonesia. All products manufactured and marketed by the Ajinomoto Group Indonesia are certified halal by BPJPH,” said Hermawan Prajudi, Director of PT Ajinomoto Indonesia.

This clarification is delivered as part of LPH LPPOM’s effort to protect the public from misleading information. Consumers can verify the list of halal-certified products from PT Ajinomoto Indonesia or other manufacturers through the ‘Cari Produk Halal’ feature available on the official website halalmui.org or through the BPJPH website of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia.”
