“Eat Well, Live Well” and Reducing Environmental Impact, Ajinomoto's Commitment to Indonesia

Ajinomoto Indonesia is committed to continuing to develop solutions for the provision of cooking and health seasonings, which will be achieved through 2 things, which is increasing healthy life expectancy while reducing environmental impacts, which are targeted to be achieved in 2030.

In an interview with CNBC Indonesia, the Corporate Planning Director of PT AJINOMOTO INDONESIA, Ms. Rina Sukaesih conveyed about Ajinomoto's production which was carried out by combining amino acid innovation and technology combined with Indonesian local needs & culture.

“Ajinomoto is committed to be a company that can provide solutions to problems related to food and health. We want to achieve this commitment through 2 big goals. The first is that we want to increase the healthy life expectancy of 1 billion people in the world. The second is that we also want to be able to decrease and reduce 50% of the environmental impact. And we want to achieve these two goals by 2030," said Rina Sukaesih to CNBC Indonesia (26/01).


She added, "In line with our slogan "Eat Well, Live Well", we also want to be able to help many people to overcome problems related to dietary habits, such as daily eating habits and also problems regarding aging or aging."

The second goal is with Ajinomoto Indonesia's real rarity to apply sustainable principles and reduce environmental impacts in the production process.

This commitment is carried out through reducing exhaust carbon emissions by replacing environmentally friendly fuels such as biomass as well as the use of new fermentation technologies and water savings that have successfully reduced up to 52,700 tons of CO2 to zero waste.

In addition, the production process is also directed to be environmentally friendly and in accordance with sustainable principles so that it can achieve "zero waste", which is Ajinomoto Indonesia's real step in implementing sustainable principles and reducing environmental impacts in the production process.
