Jakarta - PT AJINOMOTO INDONESIA Group is back with the National Zakat Agency (Baznas) to hand over donation worth Rp. 130 million to victims of flash floods in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), on Saturday (24/4/2021). The donation was handed over by the Regional Sales Manager of PT AJINOMOTO SALES INDONESIA Ichwanudin, in Podu Hamlet, Waowala Village, ILE Ape District, Lembata Regency, NTT Province.
The details of the donation for NTT this time, are combination of fund and “Masako®” products. "Ajinomoto mourns for the victims of flash floods in NTT and we always wish to be close to the community. As a company that has been established for more than 51 years in Indonesia, this donation is part of The Ajinomoto Group Creating Shared Value (ASV) activity, where we support in solving social issues and create both social and economic value. Our focus is not only on the sales aspect, but also on making a positive contribution to the Indonesian society. We hope we can support victims of flash floods by fund and by providing nutritious balance meals with “Masako®” in the public kitchen." said Ichwanudin.
This is not the first time PT AJINOMOTO INDONESIA Group has collaborated with Baznas in providing donations. Previously, the company had provided assistance of Rp. 1 billion worth products for medical personnel at the Wisma Atlet Emergency Hospital and a number of government designated hospitals in handling Covid-19.
According to the head of Baznas Saidah Sakwan MA, this donation is a form of support to the government in handling natural disasters in Indonesia. Saidah hopes this support can fulfill the nutritional and health needs of refugees who are victims of the natural disaster, especially for those who are fasting in the holy month of Ramadan.
